Advocacy & Policy
The LCC Program operates within the Development Policy portfolio of the Association.
The advocacy and policy goals of the LCC Program are:
- To inform Local Governments of evolving issues and develop policy positions where appropriate.
- To ensure that Local Government's views on issues associated with the built environment, land use planning and telecommunications infrastructure are clearly enunciated to Government and advocate for suitable legislative and regulatory reform.
- To enhance Local Government's access to and use of technology.
- To facilitate opportunities for resource sharing and co-ordination in Local Government and between spheres of government.
